Welcome
The Brantford Film Group is a fund raising activity of the Brant Historical Society and the Brant Museum and Archives. We depend on your support to assist us in fulfilling our mandate to preserve and interpret our past to inform our future.
We are also part of a larger organization -- the Film Circuit -- which consists of over 100 groups across Canada, all bringing quality films to smaller centres which would otherwise not have the opportunity to view them.
Our films are screened at the Galaxy Cinema at the Brantford Mall on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. There is only the one screening. Tickets are available at the box office only on the date of the screening and all seating is first come, first served.
The films we screen are usually rated 14A but do deal with mature themes and can be a mature presentation. We encourage you to check on-line or with us if you have concerns about content of specific films.
Ticket prices are $8.00 per person for members of the Brant Historical Society and $10.00 for non-members. We encourage you to join the Society! Not only will you save on your admission to the films, but you will also support in a more meaningful way the work of the Museum.
The Film Group also partners with the Brantford Public Library to present a series of documentary films at the downtown branch once a month. Films are screened on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:p.m. and admission is free.
